About Xi'an Shiyou University(XSYU)

Founded in 1951, Xi'an Shiyou University is a multi-disciplinary institution with distinctive strengths in petroleum and petrochemical engineering. Co-constructed by China's three major petroleum companies (CNPC, SINOPEC, CNOOC) and the Shaanxi Provincial Government, it is a key university under China's "14th Five-Year Plan for Education Power Promotion Project" and a "Double First-Class" cultivation university in Shaanxi.

Located in Xi'an, the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, the university has three campuses covering 2,078 mu. It offers a complete talent training system, with 3 doctoral programs, 18 master's programs, 15 professional master's programs, and 55 undergraduate majors across 9 disciplines (science, engineering, economics, management, literature, law, education, and art).

Four disciplines (engineering, chemistry, earth sciences, materials science) rank in the top 1% of ESI global rankings, and it is recognized as a "National Engineering Master's Characteristic Education Field". The university boasts over 2,000 faculty members, including 1,380 full-time teachers, 750 with senior titles, and 900 with doctoral degrees.

Since 1966, it has enrolled over 10,000 international students from 95 countries and regions, and is a designated institution for Chinese Government Scholarship programs and a "Demonstration Base for International Students in China".
