About Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT)

● Founded in 1920, HIT has historically been an international university.

● In 1954, HIT was designated as one of the six key universities in China, earning the title of "Cradle of Engineers".

● In 1996, it became one of the first batch of key universities to be included in the national "211 Project".

● In 1999, it was designated as one of the nine universities in the first batch of the national "985 Project".

● In 2009, HIT became a member of the Elite C9 League.

● In 2017, HIT was selected for the "Double First-Class Initiative-Class A University".

● In 2020, HIT commemorated its centennial anniversary.

● In 2022, eight of its disciplines were included in the new round of "Double First-Class" construction.
