About Xuzhou Medical University(XZMU)

Xuzhou Medical University(XZMU) is a public higher medical institution directly under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Provincial Government, located in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, a major transportation hub. It takes less than three hours to reach Beijing and Shanghai by high-speed rail. Founded in 1958, the university is an important center for medical education, healthcare and medical research in northern Jiangsu and the Huaihai Economic Zone, with distinctive school-running characteristics and a comprehensive strength consistently ranking among the top 50 medical universities in China.

The university offers 28 undergraduate programs, among which Anesthesiology is a national-level characteristic and superior program, with its teaching achievements winning the first prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award. It has 36 affiliated hospitals and high-quality clinical teaching bases, and provides a complete talent training system covering bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees.

As an international student recruitment institution approved by the Ministry of Education of China, Xuzhou Medical University has been providing international education since 2005, offering English-taught programs including MBBS, Nursing, master's and doctoral degrees. It also hosts the first university HSK test center in the Huaihai Economic Zone.

The university provides international students with complete accommodation, catering, cultural and sports facilities, as well as provincial and university-level scholarships. At present, nearly 500 international students from 50 countries study here.
